A box is nothing more then a bowl with a lid. I make loose fitting, tight suction fitting, and threaded lids depending on the intended use. Functional, everyday pieces usually get a loose or suction fitted lid. This makes access to the contents of the box easier. All functional pieces intended to store food are finished with a combination of food safe oils and waxes. Display pieces can have any style of lid. Most display pieces are finished with a long lasting, high gloss finish that will withstand the test of time.
